Nathan Janitz
Nathan’s first true job was sweeping floors for his father and uncle’s construction company in Indianapolis. There is nothing like cleaning up grit and grime to motivate a kid to get into college. The Janitz family is kind of funny in the fact that it speaks its own language. While Nathan’s dad and uncle treated employees well…. family meant “cheap inescapable labor” (read as: you can’t go anywhere so you always get the worse job). Again, there’s nothing like motivation Janitz style.
Nathan attended the College of Mount St. Joseph (mainly because their Learning Disability Assistance program), where he learned a bunch of skills like flip cup, and beer pong. In all seriousness, Janitz did really well studying business (as well as how to debate… no better opponent than a nun) and participated in several organizations like: SIFE, SGA, Dateline (That’s the Student News Paper…as the business manager).
Nathan later moved to Chicago mainly because he loved the city. The epic tale is that he was here visiting a friend and decided within the first 30 minutes of being in the city that he was moving. He called 3 people on his way back home: His parents, which we totally ready for him to bail from Cincinnati anyway, his landlord to place his 30-day notice, and his girlfriend (no not presently his wife…so I guess it worked out for the best).
Once in Chicago, Nathan landed that first great job out of college working as THE marketing department for Select Italy, then as a web analyst for Mayer Brown (which is still suffering from WebTrends nightmares), and finally fell into the best Search Agency in the US Resolution Media (Yes, I’m a little bias).
While Nathan started out as the do it all Project Manager (do it all means: SEO, SEM, Web Analytics, Data Management, Project Management, Client Services, etc.), he has settled into the Content team working primarily on SEO and Web Analytics/Conversion Consulting. During that time, Nathan has been ONE of the chief architects of the search programs for XM Radio (now Serious – XM), Equity Apartments, and Gatorade (and about 20+ others). I’m sure that list will grow with time.
Janitz (he goes by either Nathan, Janitz, or Nate…it depends on the day) is also helping his friends launch their search programs. Checkout them out at: Wholesale Nutrition and NV Clothing
